In case anyone else is in the market for a convertible car seat, I have to share with you the terrific deal I got this week on a Graco My Ride 65 for my 11 month old son.
I wanted a seat with high weight limits, so that my son could use it until he can move up into a booster, and I also want to leave him rear-facing and in a five-point harness for as long as possible. This seat has a rear-facing weight limit of 40lbs. and a front-facing weight limit of 65 lbs!
The Graco My Ride 65 has a list price of $150, and Baby Cheapskate's recommended "buy it now" sale price for it is $124. Amazon has the print pictured - "cudde" on sale for $109.98 right now, but I thought that was just a bit girly for Baby Gem!
Well, this week Toys R Us has the My Ride in the pattern "Chadwick" on sale for $99; plus, I was able to use the 20% off all car seats coupon from the Sunday sales ad to get the seat for a total of $81! Looks like this sale price is also available online with free shipping, but I'm assuming the coupon is only usable in the store.
If you end up shopping at Toys R Us this week, note that they also have BOGO Crayola products. I was able to purchase several of my kindergartner's required school supplies, as well as some new art supplies for home. If you spend $9.99 on Crayola products in store, you get a free Giant Crayola game pad.
I actually ended up going Sunday morning to buy my car seat, and it was the only one they had on the shelf. So I would recommend calling your store before you shop to make sure the seat is in stock. Otherwise, even if you order online without the coupon, it is still a very good deal.
