Wow - I haven't published a deal roundup in a while, but the deals are smokin' lately, I want to make sure you all hear about them!
This week in groceries I've been busy with:
- The Harris Teeter Kellogg's catalina deal - the catalina deal runs through August 15, but the best deals were to be had last week, when I got tons of Poptarts, NutriGrain bars, and cereal for free after the $10 coupon!
- Harris Teeter Super Doubles started today! I already went this morning and got some really good deals. Look for a full post on that later.
School supplies deals are in season now:
- Target has a bunch of cheapies and freebies, like free Post-It notes and Bic pens. I believe they also still have Crayola 24 packs of crayons for $.25 each. Last year, I stocked up on a bunch of these for art supply gifts, stocking stuffers, and just to bring out when my girls need fresh crayons.
- If you have a school supply list to fill, check out this price comparison chart to get the best deals.
Amazon has some great deals going now, including:
- Melissa and Doug art and craft supplies up to 70% off! Think ahead to Christmas! (Thanks, Money Saving Mom)
- 30% off on select diapers and wipes. Read this post about how to maximize this deal!
Other deals:
Restaurant.com has 80% off again! This when I stock up on these coupons for date nights. As always, just read the fine print for each restaurant.
Have you heard of Groupon? I've been hearing a lot about them lately. Basically, the idea is that a great restaurant or entertaintment discount is offered in a particular geographica area, and if enough people commit to buy, the deal is confirmed. Today's deal in the DC area is a $50 gift card to The Peacock Cafe for $50. Not bad! Let us know if you've used Groupon or any similar sites.
If you need to order photo prints, York photo has some good deals going on right now. You can get 100 photos for 4 cents each with code YMW4CP, and you can get free shipping on your $10 print order with code SHPPTS10 through Aug. 24. Plus, if this is your first time signing up, you can get 40 free prints!
Last but not least, don't forget to scout out summer clearance everywhere! In my region, clothing stores have definitely clearance their summer clothes, and they might even be getting hard to find. I expect Target and the drug stores to be discounting their outdoor gear and other summer in the next few weeks.
