Dunkin Donuts Blogger Event - Plus a Giveaway!

A couple of weeks ago, I was thrilled to be invited by Dunkin Donuts to attend a blogger event in Fairfax to learn more about the company and try out some new products.  Not only was everyone at DD extremely gracious, but I learned a bunch of fun facts about their menu that I'm excited to share with you!

We got to taste all types of DD coffee, which was no trouble for the coffee lover that I am.  I was interested to learn that their coffee comes in multiple flavors, totally apart from the sweeteners.  So you can actually get your vanilla or coconut coffee black and either add your choice of creamers and sweeteners, or (if you're like me), just drink it black.  You can even mix flavors.  The most unexpected flavor was blueberry, which was surprisingly tasty and had a wonderful smell!

One of the products that DD especially wanted to introduce to us was the new Big N Toasty Breakfast Sandwich, which came out February 28.  The picture says it all: two pepper fried eggs, 4 slices of Cherrywood smoked bacon, and cheese on buttery Texas toast.  Yummy!  My bacon-loving husband would really enjoy this, and I sure enjoyed it myself.  It's funny - somebody mentioned that maybe we moms weren't the target audience for this sandwich, but nobody at the event seemed reluctant to taste it!

We also had the opportunity to taste the more health-conscious flatbread sandwiches, the hash browns (who knew?), as well as all types of doughnuts.  My tip: try the sour cream doughnuts.  They have a "rough" look to them, but a delicious tangy taste and are not overly sweet.
